It brings people great satisfaction to be able to post a photo and have it instantly available for the world to see. After years of sharing our photos with the world, there is nothing more annoying than when the terms of service (TOS) suddenly change.
We have seen this with a number of services over the years. The most common is when they they claim that by uploading your photo to their service, you give them permission to sell your photos to third parties without any compensation to you! WHAT?!!! Who in their right mind would agree to this? What is most disturbing is that these changes often occur without the opportunity to opt out.
At reInsta, we have a very straightforward policy on content posted. We will never sell them! That is that:
We do not claim any intellectual property rights over the material you provide to the reInsta service. All material you upload remains yours.
And it goes beyond a policy. You can choose to have your reInsta photos stored in a folder of your Dropbox, that you control. You can block reInsta from accessing your photos and when you leave, you still have all your photos in your Dropbox.
To conclude, don't let sites profit from your images. Read the TOS before you post your images to any site. Protect your rights.
